Rain boots: stars of music festivals

Who said rain boots were just for the rain? Nowadays, this style of footwear is leading the list when it comes to outfits for the most recognized music festivals around the world, such as Glastonbury or Coachella. These massive events are considered like outdoor runways, because it's where the celebrities, bloggers and models set the pulse of fashion showing what the new trends of the season will be.

The comfort and functionality are clue pieces at the festivals dresscode, because it is necessary to wear practical outfits in these outdoors environments where the climatically conditions and the mud are all part of the experience. That’s why the celebrities decided to give to their look a ‘wild touch’ combining their rain boots with floral dresses, cowboy shorts and skirts and it was a good move because it became a totally iconic style!.

Boots are leading Coachella, Lollapalooza and specially Glastonbury. Because as we know, there’s no Glastonbury without boots, precisely the famous wellies. This festival takes place on the Worthy Farm of England so it has become a symbolic flag to the celebrities wearing them during the event. And the best part of it is that they are such an adaptable piece so everyone has given it their particular signature.

Kate Moss was the celebrity that first made them popular in the summer of 2005, when she combined her boots with shorts a waistcoat and a black belt. And oh boy she looked stunning and her fresh look became a portrait since then.

Later on, in 2015, following the Ms. Moss steps, Alexa Chung disputed the Glastonbury reigning, wearing her typical black willies with a golden glam dress and a classic pair of sunglasses.

Many artists such as Rita Ora, Rihanna and Cara Delevingne have followed the same instinct along the years. The fact is that this ‘once-practical footwear’ currently has a new meaning: a glam & wild emblem to rock at concerts.
